Rowlson Industrial Sewing Engineers Ltd. are manufacturers and suppliers of special purpose textile machinery.
Founded in 1971 in Nottingham's historic Lace Market, Rowlson Industrial Sewing are now based in New Basford adjacent to Nottingham's Ring Road. Their 8000 square feet premises house custom built mechanics and engineering workshops, warehousing, showroom and offices. Mr. John Rowlson started the business and was joined by son Mark in 1982. In total, Rowlson Industrial Sewing now employ 12 staff.
As well as the conventional industrial sewing machine sales and rentals which still forms a large part of the business, the company specialises in a wide range of special purpose machine conversions for the home and export markets. They also have an extensive spares department offering same day despatch on many standard and non-standard parts.
Rowlson Industrial Sewing are stockists for attachments made by Racing Sewing Machine Co. of Taiwan and locally stock a full range of lockstitch and overlock puller feeds, slack feeds, roller tensioners and electronic programmable metering devices.
In 2002, Rowlson Industrial Sewing acquired the agency for the Kansai Special range of machines for the U.K. and Ireland.
In 2015, Rowlson Industrial Sewing launched the www.kansai-special.co.uk website for the online ordering of genuine Kansai special spares.
